Ultra-reliable, low contended broadband
ADSL (Asymmetric Digital Subscriber Line) is the most common way to deliver broadband in the UK to businesses. Using BT’s copper-wire infrastructure, individual telephone lines are upgraded with digital technology, allowing high-speed data to be transmitted alongside existing voice calls.

Requirements for broadband

To use Giacom Broadband, firstly you will need to make sure you have a normal analogue telephone line that’s connected directly to BT, not through a switchboard. You’ll also need to check this line is ADSL-ready.

At your premises, your free Netgear* modem/router/firewall is connected to the ADSL splitter – a small device that separates the telephone line from broadband data line.

It then connects directly into your PC (Office Solo) or into a router (Office Express) for networked Internet access throughout your office
